Fashion Houston Day 2 Recap – November 13, 2012

Day 2 of Fashion Houston was surely a fashion night of dreams come true….

Take a look at Fashion Houston’s Tuesday night show featuring collections from:

David Peck

The”Once Upon a Dream” collection from CrOp by David Peck is indeed any woman’s fantasy wardrobe. With vibrant bright colors, bold neutrals and the signature David Peck unique graphic prints, the looks ranged from workday chic to special event ready with everything in between.  Sport-inspired pieces were present in maxi dresses and utility shirt dresses along with floral pattern resort wear pieces in his reinvented rompers, dresses and jumpsuits.  This collection from CrOp by David Peck could easily be a complete wardrobe for any fashionista and proves yet again eco-fashion can have a true fashion-forward design aesthetic that still stands for a great cause.

The Fotini collection showcased all things feminine with a bit of Greek influence with features like draping and solid white silhouettes.  The collections point of view on corsets and structured, tailored looks were equal parts of sexy and beautiful, which were surely created for the confident woman to showcase her inner goddess.  The collection showcased a mature usage of pastel colors and spring floral prints that could give a softening touch to even the hardest exterior. From dresses to menswear-inspired pantsuits to gowns, the Fotini collection can be summarized in three words: Polished, Seductive and Well-Tailored.

Proving fashion just isn’t for the ladies and guys have style too, Bogosse by Patrick & Fabrice Tardieu showed us what the men had to bring to the table with looks for all occasions   Tailored, modern suits were just the start, as the collection transitioned from formal to the sharp-dressed businessman to the everyday man to showcase men can transition their style as well.  A signature throughout the collection were the fresh takes on classic pieces from grouped button detailing on dress shirts to summer suits with ankle cropped pants, showcasing the reinvention how men can style themselves. To all of the fashion-forward man,  look no further than the designing sibling duo behind Bogosse to keep you on trend for Spring and many more seasons to come.

Zac Posen

The night ended with a show straight from New York Fashion Week with Zac Posen’s Spring collection, which featured pieces such as the dramatic and architecturally stunning January Jones’ Emmy’s 2012 gown.  With Posen’s signature workmanship and detailing, the collection featured vintage-inspired pieces with a twist as well as design features with gowns equally creative and beautiful as Emmy’s gown. His usage of jewel tone inspired color palettes along with the simplicity of construction could make any woman feel like a million bucks if given the chance to wear one of the coveted red carpet gowns or anything made by the hands of gold, Zac Posen.

We’re halfway through Fashion Houston and tomorrow’s show will continue with glamorous looks from Chloe Dao and Herve Lerger,  just to name a few.
