Sustainable Living Fest Fashion Show

Green Living and Fashion go hand and hand right? Of course, they do, especially if you are all about Sustainable Living! Well, Style to Envy got a firsthand opportunity to be principle stylists for a local Sustainable Living Fest Fashion Show where everything showcased in the show was either vintage, consignment or upcycle fashion from local boutiques in our area. We know what you are thinking, “What the heck is Upcycle?” Well, up cycle is converting old or useless products into new materials or items of better quality. The festival fashion show was named “Walk of Town” to showcase different areas in our city. From Uptown Chic to Vintage Glam, we showcased how you can look FABULOUS in vintage, consignment and upcycle clothing.  Added bonus, it’s a fraction of the cost and you can find some gems.

Take a look at some snapshots from the Sustainable Living Festival and join us as we take a stylish “Walk of Town” around Houston.

Located in the Heights, Hello Lucky presents our Bespoke Boho girl of the town. The boutique features artist designed wears for men, women, children and small artworks for your home. Hello, Lucky rules the runway when it comes to up-cycled designs and one of kind bohemian finds.

Next stop on our walk is the Galleria and River Oaks, The Little Bird presents our Vintage Couture girl.  The boutique provides a chic setting for shopping unique nearly new and vintage designer apparel and accessories.  The birdie’s at this specialty consignment shop acquire pieces that mix Houston’s socialite set with just a touch of NYC uptown.

Our final stop on our ‘Walk of Town’ is the hipster Montrose area.  Fashion Plate is home for our retro haute rockstar girl or guy of town. The boutique founder who is also a musical muse creates the perfect storm of high glam vintage with a little Studio 54 sleek.  The buyers find rare and specialty pieces that you will love like they are brand new.

The show was produced by Zapatero+Bucaram Public Relations and Hair/Makeup provided by Modern Makeup Society. And last but not least this year’s fierce fashions are provided by local Houston boutique’s Hello Lucky, The Little Bird, and Fashion Plate. We were happy to showcase this year’s hottest Spring Trends eco-style.

A huge thank you to all for the support!
