Val’s Style – Office Mix on a Budget

Hola chicas and hope everyone had a great weekend cause mine was awesome! I went to a Lady Gaga concert, spent a little time pool side in Galveston for Mardi Gras and Super Bowl Sunday all kept me busy for the first weekend in February. Enough chit-chat now on to my look, I wore this to the office and of course I put it together using items already in my closet. I tend to get ‘bored’ with office looks so I’m always looking for something different and a little unexpected so the result is a pencil skirt, cardigan, printed top, and boots. Classic pieces with a little pop in the color and of course accessories kick it up a notch with an arm party, statement necklace and my newest obsession is this Simple Be handbag.

What I’m Wearing:

Top – Wish (similar $10)
Skirt – Goodwill (only $6)
Cardigan – TJ Maxx
Boots – gift
Bag – courtesy of Simply Be
Accessories – Bevello, Forever 21

A few style tips with this look – if you button a shirt all the way add a shorter chunky statement necklace, long sleeves peeking from under your cardigan or blazer add a fun little detail and using three quarter length sleeves makes this easy to achieve.  Shades of brown and grey are neutral tones and can be worn with all colors and everyone needs a pair of flat classic boots, they are timeless.

What do you think of my office mix?  Added bonus is all items are under $20 the boots and handbags were gifts ;)  Have a great week everyone!
